Participants in this class will have the opportunity to use and learn basic sewing techniques. They will have the chance to design and create a stuffed animal using recycled materials. It is hoped that participants will gain skills they can use in the future, whether it is for designing and creating more stuffed animals, or other creative sewing projects. Participant evaluations will be collected.
This was a fun multi-generational program. Many adults were also drawn to this program in addition to families. Some comments from the evaluation forms: "Taught my daughter to sew! Great!", "Learned how to do a running stitch.", "It was a very nice feeling to accomplish sewing a sock monkey.", "I learned howto sew a sock monkey. Presenter was very pleasant and fun. It was educational. I love it and the presenter.", "I learned sewing and using socks to make a monkey. Very good."
