Granite Etching - Liz Rackl
Minnesota artist Liz Rackl will teach about etching granite and her artistic process, demonstrating her techniques and guiding participants who want to try granite etching for themselves. She will also display larger, more time-intensive pieces of granite etching. Attendees who etch granite will be able to take their creations home.

Attendees will learn about the art of granite etching. We will have granite pieces and tools available so participants can try granite etching for themselves, possibly sparking an interest in art in general or a new artistic medium. Participation evaluations and anecdotal responses will be collected.
We had a diverse group of patrons for granite etching with participants from 4 to 75 years old, including several multi-generational groups and a Girl Scout troop. Her program was a lead in to our third annual Full STEAM Ahead event the following Saturday.
