Saluting the Civil War - Doug Ohman
Attendees learned the important and unique roles Minnesota people played during the Civil War. Doug Ohman presented a mesmerizing story about many Minnesotans who became involved in the war. He also reported the impact on their families and communities. Doug Ohman is, perhaps, the most interesting presenter we have ever had. The only complaint from the group was that his presentation was too short.

Attendees heard unique, never before heard stories about Minnesota's unique role in the Civil War. They heard first hand, primary source information about the war. The stories were interesting and poignant. Some were extremely emotional. Doug, being a professional photographer, had a brilliant slide presentation to go along with the stories. Attendees reported wanting to hear much more about the subject. It was excellent. Several days later, the library is still hearing feedback from the pleased attendees.
