An elderly patron really connected to the program and talked about her experiences going to the Wabasso country school near Daub's Lake. Other patrons were very interested and asked her questions about it. At one point she even teared up and said "I haven't thought about it in so long...and it's strange to think about how those buildings are disappearing." I pulled up pictures of the country school on my phone from the library's historical photo albums on our website. She was able to name some of the unknown students for our website! Other patrons discussed the small towns they had traveled through and also talked a lot about some of the barns they'd like to drive by and see.
