Create and Craft - Kate Russell
We had local artists teach the kids about different art mediums including watercolor painting, linoleum block printing, canvas painting, nature printing. We then had a Youth Art Show & Open House throughout the month of August.

Kids will gain an appreciation for a variety of artistic mediums as well as meet local artists and learn about what they do. Their art will be displayed all of August. Anecdotal responses will be collected.
We have had many parents and kids thanking us for providing programming like this. The kids have been telling their friends so every week we have new kids attending. There's nothing better than word of mouth advertising. I know of one family that has purchased some lino block carving utensils so their kids can work on it more at home. We have had many asking if we are going to be doing it again next year and giving us names of other artists in the area that may be interested in teaching.
