Kathy Baxter gave her presentation on three great children's authors who were born or grew up along highway 14 in Minnesota. Maud Hart Lovelace from Mankato, Wanda Gag from New Ulm, and Laura Ingalls Wilder who lived in Walnut Grove MN. She gave a fun and fast paced talk with a lot of information on all three authors using a PowerPoint presentation.

Patrons will learn about 3 great authors; Maud Hart Lovelace, Wanda Gag, and Laura Ingalls Wilder. Patrons will learn about Kathy's experience's writing about these 3 authors. This program provides a historical benefit looking back at their role in MN history. Anecdotal responses will be collected.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Patrons learned a lot of information on these 3 children's authors and about Kathy's personal experience in researching these authors. Many people commented on how they never knew "this or that" about the authors. Everyone walked out that night learning something new about these beloved authors.
