Through this story telling program children will learn about a variety of different animals and the diverse places that they live such as jungles, rain forests, mountains, caves and caverns. They will be exposed to storytelling techniques that will provide education and enjoyment and through this, they will have an increased interest in reading books on their own about animals and geographic subjects. Participant evaluations will be collected.
The presenters used different storytelling techniques and the children enjoyed learning about animals and the different places they live. One mother of three young children commented a few days after that program that she didn't think her youngest son was really listening to the storytellers but then he sang a song all the way home that day after the program.
