Vetted Programs--The RAD Zoo
Emphasize the importance of wildlife affinity in your local community. Enhance the future outdoor experiences for participants through education. Increase access to various animal species, enhancing audience comfort and confidence with unfamiliar animals. Encourage further education and attendance at naturalist events. Reinforce the idea that libraries are places to experience cultural or arts programming.
Everyone at the Albert Lea programs wanted to learn more about the animals displayed, to see the show again with more animals, and check out books about the animals. In Houston, all indicated they were eager to learn more about the animals, and were delighted with the event, that they had learned something, and that they would attend another event at the library. Many said they would like to find books on how long these kind of reptiles live, where, and about other kinds of reptiles. Others said they are taking a family trip to the Zoo.
