Project Overview
The Vetted Programs were created by request of the SELCO public library directors. SELCO compiled a list of "Vetted Performers" who are contracted with SELCO to perform/present/etc. at our regional member libraries. This catalog is a valuable resource for SELCO's members and the Library Legacy funding allows programming to come to libraries that otherwise could not afford to have this rich variety of programs into their communities.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

To increase access to and enhance audience comfort and confidence with unfamiliar music styles. To encourage further education and attendance at future music and/or arts events. To increase access to educational and family-friendly music. To reinforce the idea that libraries are places to experience cultural or arts programming.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Nearly all 5/5! All of the children wanted to see the performance again. Many participants had no idea there were so many types of bagpipes and enjoyed learning about them and hearing the different sounds.
All of the kids in attendance wanted to learn more about Celtic music. Many students learned about new instruments they had never heard of before.
