Vetted Programs: Gary Harbo
Enhance the future art experience for participants through education. Increase access to artists, enhancing audience comfort and confidence with creating art and new art styles. Encourage children to learn to create art. Encourage further education and attendance at future fine arts events. Reinforce the idea that libraries are places to experience cultural or arts programming.
The kids think the library is the best place in the summer! The kids enjoyed being able to draw their own things and not have to do the same as everyone else. They would also like to see the program expanded to watercolor or painting. Adults and children enjoyed the drawing classes. They liked learning about how to draw facial features and thought it was very informative. All of the kids in attendance wanted to come to more library programs. Most wanted to learn more about drawing, especially more realistic drawing or how to draw people. Every answer was a 5 on the evaluation! They enjoyed how Gary taught the illustrations and how interactive it was.
