Emphasize the importance of performing arts in the local community. Increase access to the performing arts, enhancing audience comfort and confidence through clowns, comedy magic, and slapstick comedy. Encourage further education and attendance at future performing arts events. Reinforce the idea that libraries are places to experience cultural or arts programming.
After experiencing the program, all survey respondents were much more likely to think of the library as a place for arts programming. They felt the performance was entertaining and interactive, enough to keep adults and children entertained. The children enjoyed the performance and would come back to the library for another performance like this. The surveyed adults were also extremely positive about the performance, finding it fun and engaging. They enjoyed the relaxed, happy atmosphere. The kids loved it and so did the adults. Great choice of entertainer. Almost all 5's (the highest mark) for the surveys. The responses were overwhelmingly positive. They loved how it was truly an all-ages event.
