To encourage further education and attendance at cultural events. To reinforce the idea that libraries are places to experience cultural or arts programming.
There were 309 student surveys returned. Most would like to see this performer again. There were 16 students in the Focus Group. All 16 would love to see this performance again. There were 7 teachers interviewed. All were impressed with Katie's ability to keep the students' attention. They also appreciated how she incorporated different cultures, languages, and audience participation.
Only 4 children had heard a storyteller before, so there was much excitement. Her stories spark their imagination.
