Vetted Programs: The Lyceums
Emphasize the importance of performing arts in the local community. Increase access to the performing arts, including magic and the connection of history and performance.
Encourage further education and attendance at future performing arts events. Reinforce the idea that libraries are places to experience cultural or arts programming.
The (performance) was the day before the last day of school. Sometimes it is difficult to keep the attention of our kids in the large group setting during the regular school year…Professor Marvel had the children wrapped around his finger from the moment he started. It was a great summer reading fire-up, plus a fun science show...The staff agreed afterwards that we would like him to come every year the last week of school. Kids were very engaged, also encourage to read books. Engaged littlest to older kids. Great presentation.
