Community Collaborations: Artist in Residence
The three part evaluation process for the Artists in Residence programs will include artist surveys, participant surveys, participant attendance and Makerspace usage proposals. First, artists will complete a survey that will assess their experience as the featured artist/program leader. The survey will ask the artists what knowledge they hoped to share through this experience. It would also allow the artist to share about their time spent with the participants as they worked together and how they feel things went for good and/or bad. Second, an evaluation form will be given to the participants of the programs. From those forms we hope to find out what impact the creative experience of the program had on them, what they learned and how they might continue to develop the artistic skills they developed during the programs. Third, the Library and partner organizations will use those survey results and statistics during the course of the program series to make changes in how things are done from program to program. At the end the project, these results will help us to evaluate if the programs were valuable to the community. Moreover, the Library will assess the incorporation of the Artists in Residence project into regular Library programming.
