Project Overview
The Vetted Programs were created by request of the SELCO public library directors. SELCO compiled a list of "Vetted Performers" who are contracted with SELCO to perform/present/etc. at our regional member libraries. This catalog is a valuable resource for SELCO's members and the Library Legacy funding allows programming to come to libraries that otherwise could not afford to have this rich variety of programs into their communities.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Emphasize the importance of wildlife affinity in your local community. Enhance the future outdoor experiences for participants through education. Increase access to various animal species, enhancing audience comfort and confidence with unfamiliar animals. Encourage further education and attendance at naturalist events. Reinforce the idea that libraries are places to experience cultural or arts programming.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The interviewees were in agreement that the RAD Zoo was wonderfully informative, great at sparking the kids' curiosities, and a treat to host in Winona. All rated it a 10/10! There was a large variety of ages at this program. The children loved learning about the different types of reptiles. The adults mentioned they would like to see more hands-on programs like this one. They also felt the presentation was educational, yet easy enough for the children to understand. "I could have included literally a hundred or more quotes of how much they loved this program!" The teachers were very impressed with how engaged the students were. It was a great end to the school year. They interviewed adults and children. The responses were extremely positive. Adults liked how they kept things age appropriate and engaged the children.
