Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Report the attendees responses to each event held and how that event has changed their minds/behavior/future interest in the subject matter.

Measurable Outcome(s)

140 people attended our 100th Anniversary Open House event on February 15, 2015. This was 100 years, to the very day, from the first Grand Opening of our Carnegie library in 1915. Twenty-six people filled out a brief survey available at the Open House. Eighteen said they intended to read our Chatfield Reads title, THE CARTOGRAPHER OF NO MAN'S LAND, 4 said they had already read it, and 4 were not sure if they were going to read it. 22 strongly agreed that they may be interested in discussing this book with at least one other person, 3 were unsure. 23 felt strongly that reading and/or talking about this book would increase their understanding of the people, the physical and social conditions, and events of the WWI era; 1 agreed that it would and 1 seemed unsure.
23 people attended our P.S. Duffy Author Presentation and Book Signing Event. 18 filled out our survey. 15 said they had read the entire book, 3 said they had read some of it. 15 respondents strongly agreed, and 3 agreed that they learned something new in reading or talking about this book. 15 strongly agreed, 1 agreed, and 1 felt unsure or neutral that reading or talking about this book increased their understanding of the people, the physical and social conditions, and events of the WWI era. 17 who responded said they had talked about the book with at least one other person, only 1 person said they had not. Eleven people said they would be very interested in reading another book chosen as a Chatfield community-wide read, 4 said it would depend entirely on the title chosen, and 3 responded that this question was not applicable to them because they do not live in Chatfield.
