All respondents gave the overall quality of this program the highest rating. Everyone strongly agreed that it was a fun entertaining experience. All who responded said they were very likely to think of the library as a place to experience cultural or arts programming after participating in this program.
Some of the things that folks liked best about this program was that it was fast paced and really kept the kids’ full attention. They also liked how Norm worked into his program encouragement to read and use the library. Another person said, “I liked that he was able to involve so many kids.” Another liked that it was “Entertainment for all ages.”
Hardly any suggestions were given as to how to improve this program. One commented , “Great as is – maybe [a] little longer.”
Several kids responded that they wanted to learn more about magic after the program. A number of our magic books were checked out that day and soon after. The mother of the child who checked out a copy of Norm’s magic book at the program came in a few days later and said that he had already put on a show for his parents demonstrating several of the tricks he had learned from the book!
