Community Collaboration - Musical Program to Civilian Conservation Corps Boys
The audience will have increased awareness of the Civilian Conservation Corp, and the history of our state and country during the great depression.
Seniors who were alive during the 1930's may have the opportunity to reminisce about their family while growing up.
The audience will recognize the importance of music throughout history, and it's connection to specific times and events.
The audience will have an increased interest in historical education.
The audience was enthusiastic and asked many questions. Many stayed after the program to talk to the speaker. The audience provided positive comments, both that day and later and in the month after the event. Polled members said they thought this program was a great use of Legacy funding.
