Community Collaboration - Storytelling Through Visual Art: Puppetry
Students will create an original work of visual art, specifically puppets. The program will provide an art enrichment opportunity. Students will practice written communication and creative writing skills. Students will showcase their learning through a performance.
Each 5th grade student completed their own puppet (70 students). Each class had an additional 60 minutes of art enrichment for the entire week. All students created and presented their original creative plays that the grammar teacher included within the week. The students presented their plays to Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade classes.
