Project Overview
Educational magician Star Michaelina has been wowing audiences for over 15 years. At libraries she gets kids excited about reading by combining her high energy, interactive magic show with tricks involving books and the importance of reading. Her goofy personality and colorful props appeal to even the youngest child while her contemporary look and mind boggling tricks appeal to the older kids in the audience.

Some quotes gathered from the focus group included “Jack was lucky because he got to be the tortoise in the skit, the Tortoise & the Hare. The skit was really funny,” “It was so cool when Star pulled more and more rope out of her mouth and everybody liked the stars at the end. We will think about magic in our dreams tonight,” “I liked how she incorporated books and a message into her show,” and one little girl was surprised that the magician “was a girl!”
