Minnesota Book Award (MNBA) Author Tour and MNBA Book Club in a Bag
To help connect Minnesota readers and Minnesota-based authors and illustrators and increase the output of Minnesota-based writing. To encourage the reading of more Minnesota-based authors and present the library as a cultural center of the community.
Of the 344 people who filled out a survey, 313 are likely to attend future cultural events at the library, and 290 are likely to read more books by MN authors. Attendees commented, "I love photography and MN history. I want to learn more." and Thanks for inspiration. More, more, more." Book Club in a Bag kits circulated 8 times in the 3 month period.
