A series of one-hour programs exploring music relevant to the heritage of northeast Minnesota's European settlers (circa 1880-1915). The host will share a narrative history interwoven with curated musical selections and interviews. The goal is to inform and delight listeners with an in-depth exploration of the cultural heritage of northeast Minnesota's European settlers. Content will include traditional instruments and instrumentation, musical pieces and interviews with area musicians

Appropriation Language

$1,775,000 the first year and $1,700,00 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes section 129D.19.Of this amount, $75,000 the first year is for the Veterans' Voices program to educate and engage communities regarding veterans' contributions, knowledge, skills and experiences with an emphasis on Korean War veterans.
