Project Overview

KQAL will produce and air 48-to-52 live episodes of Don't Cha Know, a weekly program all about the upcoming artistic, cultural, and historical programming in and around the Winona area. Don't Cha Know includes interviews with interesting people and stories about historically significant places. The project also inclues The Arts & Entertainment Download, a regular update of same-day Winona events and the region we serve. The sole focus will be on arts, cultural, historical, musical, family-friendly events and opportunities for public service.

Appropriation Language

$1,775,000 the first year and $1,700,00 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes section 129D.19.Of this amount, $75,000 the first year is for the Veterans' Voices program to educate and engage communities regarding veterans' contributions, knowledge, skills and experiences with an emphasis on Korean War veterans.
