Niijii's Minnesota Mixdown Series-KKWE
This project will bring art and culture into rural communities across the KKWE listening region. KKWE will collaborate with school and community partners to expose more Minnesotans to performing arts professions.
$1,775,000 the first year and $1,700,00 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes section 129D.19.Of this amount, $75,000 the first year is for the Veterans' Voices program to educate and engage communities regarding veterans' contributions, knowledge, skills and experiences with an emphasis on Korean War veterans.
There will be an increase in locally focused content and Minnesota focused content produced by public radio and an increase in the number of locat artists, writers, and other that have their work showcased through public broadcasting. More Minnesotans of all ages, ethnicities, and incomes will have have access to Minnesota art and music.
