Geneology/Family History-KBFT
A project that will collect stories from participating families in our community to record their family knowledge and history. The purpose is to add an audio dimension to the genealogical information they have on hand.
$1,775,000 the first year and $1,700,00 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes section 129D.19.Of this amount, $75,000 the first year is for the Veterans' Voices program to educate and engage communities regarding veterans' contributions, knowledge, skills and experiences with an emphasis on Korean War veterans.
More Minnesotans of all ages, ethnicities, abilities, and income will have access to cultural and historical programming. This project will increase the focus on Minnesota culture, specifically Native American culture. This project will result in an increase in locally and Minnesota-focused content produced by public radio.
