Behind the Scenes with MN Musicians: Off Mic & On Camera
Like a dating service . . . for the arts. Encounter new artists, MN legends and everyone between, in Behind the Scenes with MN Musicians, Minnesota musicians: off mic, on camera will provide unparalleled accessibility and engagement with Minnesota artists. Through unique, first-person, MN-centric videos, collaborative interviews and performances, this year-long project will create a cross-platform and interactive digital archive for Minnesotans (and the Minnesota-curious) to participate in, share and celebrate Minnesota's vibrant music culture, increasing the State's artistic footprint.
$1,700,000 the first year and $1,775,000 the second year are for Minnesota Public Radio to create programming and expand news service on Minnesota's cultural heritage and history.
The project will give more Minnesotans the opportunity to participate in and be exposed to more art and culture. More local musicians will have their work showcased through public broadcasting. Students will receive hands?on instruction and experience in producing and promoting and videotaping a live local band.
