Movies are screened at MSU's Wieking Auditorium 6 times per year. There are usually two films screened per event. There is no charge to attend the screening. There is usually a culturally-relevent theme to each film selected for screening. The culturally-relavent theme is discussed on the morning show in the days leading up to the event and in the show following each event.
$1,775,000 the first year and $1,700,00 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes section 129D.19.Of this amount, $75,000 the first year is for the Veterans' Voices program to educate and engage communities regarding veterans' contributions, knowledge, skills and experiences with an emphasis on Korean War veterans.
These events will help arts and culture to thrive in Minnesota. These events will result in increased exposure to professional performing arts, and the work of professional artists.
