A KBFT Live Radio Broadcast event of two Pow-Wow's held on the Bois Forte Reservation. The event will feature special guest commentators known in Indian Communities and the Pow-Wow Circles.

Appropriation Language

$1,775,000 the first year and $1,700,00 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes section 129D.19.Of this amount, $75,000 the first year is for the Veterans' Voices program to educate and engage communities regarding veterans' contributions, knowledge, skills and experiences with an emphasis on Korean War veterans.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

More Minnesotans of all ages, ethnicities, abilities, and income will have access to cultural and historical programming. This project will increase the focus on Minnesota culture, specifically Native American culture. This project will result in an increase in locally and Minnesota-focused content produced by public radio.
