Youth in Radio
A pre-produced segment from a Minnesota historical site or cultural event that increases knowledge and brings listeners closer to the places and people covered
$1,775,000 the first year and $1,700,00 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes section 129D.19.Of this amount, $75,000 the first year is for the Veterans' Voices program to educate and engage communities regarding veterans' contributions, knowledge, skills and experiences with an emphasis on Korean War veterans.
1) Annual survey: A majority of listeners surveyed will report that Youth in Radio increases student exposure to the art of radio sound production and writing, and has expanded access to knowledge, information, and access to arts and Minnesota's history and cultural heritage through public broadcasting.
2) Feedback from participants and listeners: We will collect any feedback from listeners and participants to affirm that Youth in Radio reflects the priorities of the ACHF for public broadcasting, especially in opportunities for youth in arts and exposing listeners to knowledge, access, and information about arts, culture and history.
