Project Overview

In reaching out to students, many of whom are brand-new to the state (if not the country), BaseMNt Musicintroduces a new audience to Minnesota arts and culture at a critical time, allowing young adults and brand-new Minnesotans alike a chance to be a part of both the creation of and participation in a new cannon of artistic work, that by it's nature, is uniquely Minnesotan, inspiring students to see themselves as having ownership of our cultural heritage. Drawing on the diversity of our campus communities, BaseMNt Music fills a gap providing artistic and cultural engagement across the state and across the globe through music's universal language increasing the likelihood of a generation of Minnesotans invested in our state's rich cultural legacy.
