North Star Stories from Real College Podcast
Every week Real College Podcast's How to Talk Modern Minnesotan introduces listeners both local and those from afar to home-grown innovators, artists, entrepreneurs, teachers, historians, comics, poets and big thinkers. Fostering a lifetime of engagement and connection with Minnesota arts and culture though fresh, sound-rich, narrative storytelling and reporting while harnessing the power of digital distribution and social media to cross economic, physical and cultural barriers, How to Talk Modern Minnesotan encourages participation and conversation to protect and grow our cultural legacy by telling all of our stories, 30 minutes at a time.
$1,700,000 the first year and $1,775,000 the second year are for Minnesota Public Radio to create programming and expand news service on Minnesota's cultural heritage and history.
The project will give more Minnesotans the opportunity to participate in and be exposed to more local and student-generated and produced music. More local musicians will have their work showcased through public broadcasting. Students will receive hands?on instruction and experience in producing and promoting and archiving a public radio music program featuring student bands.
