Project Overview

A series focusing on people in the Cook area who have chosen to live off the public utilities grid. Interviews will be presented in a day in the life style format, detailing what daily actions must be taken in lieu of having power, water, or internet. Each interviewee would give their reasons for wanting to be off-grid, whether financial, environmental, or just personal preference. Would cover both wintertime and summertime off-grid living. Getting back to simple ways is a virtue for many people within the culture of the North Shore community and something to aspire to for people who visit. The pertinent environmental and economic issues of our time make it important to find other ways of living. Modern lifestyle choices will be compared to historical ways of life in Cook
