Four one-hour radio shows featuring music, adventure, and stories about life in the Superior Highlands of Minnesota. Each program will include relevant and focused features on topics of cultural interest to northeast Minnesota.

Appropriation Language

$1,775,000 the first year and $1,700,00 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes section 129D.19.Of this amount, $75,000 the first year is for the Veterans' Voices program to educate and engage communities regarding veterans' contributions, knowledge, skills and experiences with an emphasis on Korean War veterans.

Northern Music Hour will increase locally focused content and Minnesota focused content produced by public radio. Nothern Music Hour will increase the number of local artists and musicians that have their work showcased through public broadcasting.
