Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Ojibwe Language and culture, as well, as learning various Native American Crafts and teachings. In addition, to spread this knowledge even futher, KBFT will record audio at the events to be used later for on-air segments.

Appropriation Language

$1,775,000 the first year and $1,700,00 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes section 129D.19.Of this amount, $75,000 the first year is for the Veterans' Voices program to educate and engage communities regarding veterans' contributions, knowledge, skills and experiences with an emphasis on Korean War veterans.

This project will help to preserve the Ojibwe language by teaching listeners a different word each day. Doing this project will help to preserve the Ojibwe culture as well as the Ojibwe language. It will increase the locally focused content and Minnesota focused content produced by public radio.

This project will help to preserve the Ojibwe language by teaching participants not only the vocabulary words people need to learn to keep the langague alive, it will also teach the context , historical basis, and cultural information that goes along with the language. Doing this project will help to preserve the Ojibwe culture as well as the Ojibwe language. In addition it will help to interweave culture and history into more facvets of community life. It will help culture and history to Thrive in Minnesota. And, it will increase the locally focused content and Minnesota focused content produced by public radio.
