Project Overview

Winter Jackets is an adult reading program that was expanded this year with additional funds to support local author appearances. Four library systems hosted five author programs featuring local authors Eric Dregni, Brian Freeman, Julie Kramer and the Minnesota Crime Wave – AKA Carol Bookins, Ellen Hart and William Kent Krueger.

The popular program’s goal is to support adult recreational reading during the winter months and present public programs featuring local authors. Program attendees learned more about the writing and publishing process, as well as how mystery and crime novels are written.
