Scott County Library - Libraries Outside the Box Phase 1
The Scott County Library sponsored programs in local communities with events taking place in non-library locations.
1049 School-aged children participated in the Off-Site Summer Reading Program.
75 immigrant familes participated in a Mexican dance program and library fishing game and received library information from Spanish speaking library staff at the Shakopee Cinco de Mayo celebration.
2091 families, preschoolers, school-age children and teens enjoyed musical and art programs and received information on the library and the summer reading program.

School-aged children participated in Off-Site Summer Reading Program - of 16 surveys returned by site leaders and teachers, 8 indicated that participating children read "a little more" than they would have without Off-Site SPR and 8 indicated they read "a lot more"
