Washington County Library in cooperation with the Minnesota Center for the Book Arts held workshops for teens entitled "Teen Altered Books"

Project Details

Altered Books for Teens:

Artists from the MN Center for Book Arts hosted book-making workshops for teens at 4 of our libraries.

An altered book is a form of mixed media artwork that changes a book from its original form into a different form, altering its appearance and/or meaning. Participants learned the technique of altered books and were able to take home a finished product.

Dates, locations and attendance were as followed:
April 6, 2010 - Hardwood Creek Branch; Forest Lake @ 4 pm - Attendance: 2 teen participants
April 12, 2010 - RH Strafford Branch; Woodbury @ 4pm - Attendance: 11 teen participants
April 15, 2010 - Park Grove Branch; Cottage Grove @ 4pm - Attendance: 7 teen participants
April 28, 2010 - Oakdale Branch @ 4pm - Attendance: 6 teen participants
