Project Details

Dates - June 21, 2010 through August 8, 2010 in Woodbury Parks.

Art in the Park: Washington County Library partnered with the city of Woodbury Parks & Recreation Department to host art programs for kids at area Woodbury parks. At each program participants learned about a particular art style/craft that related to Minnesota history or culture and then created an art piece to take home. The library provided a bookmark with a list of suggested reading materials to learn more about the art topics and Minnesota history subjects they were introduced to during the programs. The programs were held throughout the summer of 2010 and were hosted and instructed by Woodbury Parks & Recreation staff. If you need specific dates and attendance for every single program (there were a lot!) I would have to request that from the city.
Total attendance: Over 1100 participants over the course of the summer.
