Carver County Library: Community Read
Carver County Library sponsored an opportunity for community members to use "Riding the Bus with My Sister: a memoir " by Rachel Simon as an opportunity to connect about disabilities. Community Read series included book group discussions, movie with discussion and author talk. A representative from Pacer was on hand to lead discussion regarding disabilities.

All community members are invited!
"Spend an Evening with a Neighbor" from our communities who has a disability. While sharing a meal together you will hear their story and learn about the obstacles they face. Most importantly, you will help us kick-off a year-long journey of celebrating the gifts people of differing abilities bring to our lives and exploring how we can create opportunities for people with disabilities to more fully participate in our communities.
