Carver County Library using Legacy Funds sponsored a Puppet Farm Artist in Residency to conduct a hands-on workshop for children to design and create a puppet to help launch the Summer reading Program " Make a Splash".

For school age children. Construct a giant scaly sea serpent from recyclable materials in this special artist-in-residence program. The sea serpent will slither through the library this summer as we all "Make a Splash" at the library! The guest artist will weave in storytelling as youth work on this special art project.

Measurable Outcomes may be collected by survey, anecdotal responses, pre-test/post-test, observations; End user change in Behavior, Attitude, Skills, Knowledge, Condition and/or Status.Children will attend puppetry workshop and help create a sea serpent puppet and learn more about puppetry and an environmental theme.
