The Textile Center will organize teachers and provide class materials for eight classes to be held at Dakota County Library locations. Classes to be taught include felted soap, string art stationery, knitted cuff, embroidered pincushion and sassy tassels.

Patrons will have the opportunity to learn and practice textile art techniques. The patrons will have time to complete an art project which they can take home with themselves. Patrons will be able to interact with a local Minnesotan artist and socialize with fellow community members.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Patrons learned and practiced textile art techniques about felted soap, string art, embroidered pincushions and more. The patrons finished or made a strong start on an art project that they took home. Patrons were very positive about their class instructors and enjoyed their expertise.
