Attendees will learn about genealogy and research methods. Patrons will leave with a better understanding of the resources available through the library.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Participants learned genealogy research methods and were inspired to use library resources for their family history research. Approximately 79% of attendees who responded to a survey said their knowledge about genealogy and topics presented increased. Survey respondents who had used library resources for genealogy research prior to taking the class was 38% compared to 95% who intended to use library resources for genealogy research after completing the class. Over 94% of attendees were inspired to apply what they had learned.
