Silverwood Park - Fall 2016

One session of Miss Peregrine's School - Participants will learn how to make special-effect/trick photographs. One session of Minecraft Creepers – Participants will take their creativity and love of Minecraft from the digital world to the art table. They will make a multi-media glowing creeper mosaic wall hanging. An artist will have lots of materials to experiment with. Extra inspiration will come when a naturalist introduces real Minnesota creepy critters Two sessions of Minnesota Monsters – Participants will join an artist in our library ‘studio’ and learn how to make a unique fish puppet from paper bags, wire, and color. For extra inspiration, a naturalist will join in the fun to talk about the fascinating, freaky-looking creatures found in Minnesota lakes and ponds. Art materials provided. Three sessions of Woodland School of Wizardry – Participants/fans of Harry Potter books and films will make an artist book and fill it with drawings and secret notes in disappearing ink. Next, they will make their own woodland-inspired wand by sculpting and combining natural materials with wire and fabric. Art materials provided.
