The library will provide an interactive art installation at Northern Spark, an all-night arts festival in June. Participants will enter the library’s installation and encounter unique characters and challenges, playfully exploring the Northern Spark 2016-2017 theme of climate change.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Participants will engage in a fun, interactive learning experience related to library themes. Participants will connect with library staff and report a more positive view of the library. The library's installation will attract a high number of younger adults who are not regular users of the library.

Measurable Outcome(s)

86% of participants felt The Night Library was a fun, interactive learning experience. 98% of participants felt the public library is an important resource for the community. 47% of participants were not regular users of the public library before attending this event. Over 50% of attendees were 18-30 years old.
