Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Youth will create a storytelling performance and learn storytelling skills.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Storytelling as a program topic was very well received. Pam and Kathleen were great working with the kids. The librarian was impressed by how much the kids absorbed and learned about voicing, character development, action, and emotion as they prepared their stories for the performance at the end of the workshop. Several kids even recited their stories from memory after just 4 days! Both Pam and Kathleen have extensive backgrounds in storytelling and education, and it showed in the thoughtful way they put together the series of programs based on the feedback the librarian offered during our planning meetings. Both are enthusiastic and easy to work with and we hope they'll continue refining Happily Ever After for libraries in the future.
