From the evaluations returned many participants stated it was very informational to learn about the rock formations along the St. Croix River. They learned how the area came to be due to the use of the river in logging industry and as a way to get to the Great Lakes. The MN History Center offered an outstanding display of WWI with many artifacts and information on display. Comments include: "Learning the history of the area -- how it was first used for logging and how it was 'discovered' looking for a northern route to Lake Superior." "This was a wonderful and educational experience that I would never have thought to travel to independently."
