James Edward Best Author Program
Minnesota children's author James Edward Best will read his book 'The Irate Pirate' as part of Hutchinson Public Library's Family Story Hour series.

As part of the library's Family Story Hour series a MN author will read his book and answer any questions the audience may have. Families will learn about a new children's author and be able to talk to him about his writing. Children will enjoy the story and parents/caregivers will learn about/appreciate the benefits of reading to their children.
This author program exceeded the library's expectations. While the group in attendance was small, those in attendance enjoyed listening to the story very much. James spent a lot of time answering questions and talked to the children about how a book is created. For one young patron, the opportunity to talk with an author was perfect encouragement as she has plans to become a writer someday.
