story Time with Chione" combines music with classic children's stories. Ideal for ages 3-10, children and adults alike experience the instruments of the wind quintet through music and cherished story time.

Attendees will gain an appreciation for music and learn more about the instruments that can make all sorts of sounds & music. This will be an opportunity to experience orchestral music in a small, accessible space. Children will appreciate/have an interest in music that they may not come in contact with on a regular basis.
Attendees really enjoyed how the musicians were able to get the children involved in the stories and music. They appreciated that the children were able to learn the ASL signs for different animals as well as learning about how each of the instruments make their sounds. Comments include: 'Loved the exposure to live classical music!' ' Awesome! Talented musicians! I would LOVE to see this again.' Staff input: The musicians were easy to work with and interacted well with all the children attending the program. Since the event, staff at both libraries have been approached by families who attended the programs mentioning how much they enjoyed Chione & the opportunity to have live classical music played for their children.
