Families are invited to Crazi Coffee & Edibles in Winsted for a fun morning featuring Minnesota author James Edward Best, who will be reading his book "The Irate Pirate."

Families will enjoy a fun outing while learning about a Minnesota children's author and talk with him about his works.
This author program was a wonderful way to reach out to a new group of community member, many who had never attended a program at/sponsored by the library. When asked their favorite part of the program children responded 'the funny parrot in the story.' 'getting to meet an author who wrote a book.' 'getting the book and having the author sign them after the story was over.' A bonus to this author event was the wonderful community tie-in with this book. This picture book was illustrated by Emily Lynch Victory, and Thomas Maresh did the typesetting and formatting. Both of these individuals are from Winsted.
