Alexandria History Tour
Participants will take a trip to Alexandria for a history lesson. Beginning at the Runestone Museum attendees will learn about MN history beginning with the arrival of Native Americans, early Viking visits, and early settlers from Europe through the early 1900s through a guided tour of the museum complex, history films, and a variety of indoor/outdoor displays. Participants will also visit Carlos Creek Winery where they will learn about the history of wine-making in Minnesota as well as other areas of the world.

Participants will learn much about the early history of the area from the arrival of Native Americans to the early European settlers with a visit to the Runestone Museum. Following up with the agricultural history of Minnesota, in particular the cultivation of grapes and the rise of wine making and wineries in the state.
